AHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-3)

AHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide alanyl-histidyl-lysine, also known as copper tripeptide-3. It belongs to the same family of copper-binding matrix peptides as GHK-Cu, differing by a single N-terminal residue (alanine in place of glycine). The complex carries a characteristic blue colour and is studied in hair biology, dermal papilla cell cultures, follicle models, and angiogenic signalling. Strongly acidic media or competing chelators such as EDTA dissociate the complex. Vials contain lyophilized blue powder in a sealed glass vial with a crimped stopper.
