How we check, and what “checked” means.
Every finding on MyDosage is dated, sourced and factual. This page states exactly what we look at for each of the three ways, what we cannot know, and how a company gets a finding corrected.
What the supplier score covers
Nothing in this layer is certifiable — there is no regulator to certify against. The score reads what is visible today, across five pillars: lab evidence, company reality, handling standards, shipping and storage, and third-party reputation.
- Lab evidence — whether certificates exist, name a real testing lab, state identity and amount, and match the batch shipped.
- Company reality — whether a legal entity, address and contactable human sit behind the shop.
- Handling, shipping and storage — what the supplier publishes about cold chain, packaging and transit.
- Third-party reputation — independent signals we can source and date.
What a score cannot tell you: whether your specific vial contains what the label says. We read documents and public reality, not your parcel. Research-use-only products are not approved for human use.
Re-check cadence: published reports are re-run on a rolling basis and whenever a material change or a credible report reaches us. Every report carries the date it was produced and a version history.
What we verify for medicines and pharmacies
For an approved medicine, a prescriber or a compounding pharmacy, “checked” means all four of these, each with a source and a date:
- Licence or registration verified against the national registry, with the registry link and the date we looked.
- Legal entity identified — the company that is accountable, not just a brand name.
- Real pricing published, so the cost you see is the cost that exists.
- Prescribes or dispenses through licensed channels only.
Listing is not endorsement. We do not accept payment for placement, and every listing carries a last-verified date and a way to report an error.
How company-supplied documents are treated
A company may send us documentation. When it does, that material affects only the documentation pillar of a score — it is capped and disclosed, never allowed to lift the rest. Every supplied file and every check is date-stamped on the profile, so you can see what came from us and what came from them.
Disputing a finding
Any listed company can dispute a finding. Write to us with the finding, the correction and your evidence. We acknowledge within two business days and respond with a decision within ten. If we got it wrong we correct it, and the correction is logged visibly on the profile with its date. If we were right, the original finding stands with your response noted.
