GLP-2 (Triz) (development code LY3298176, often called a "twincretin") is a synthetic single-molecule dual agonist that activates two incretin hormone receptors at once — the GIP receptor and the GLP-1 receptor. A C20 fatty-diacid moiety enables reversible serum-albumin binding and an extended half-life relative to native incretins, distinguishing it from single GLP-1 agonists like GLP-1 (Sema) and from the triple agonist GLP-3 (Reta). It is used for in vitro metabolic research in GIP and GLP-1 receptor binding and cAMP-accumulation assays in receptor-expressing cells, glucose-dependent insulin-secretion studies, and various metabolic-flux assessments in lab settings.
