Sermorelin is a high-purity, research-grade peptide analogue of growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH), composed of the N‐terminal 29 amino acids of native human GHRH. It is widely used to investigate endogenous growth hormone (GH) secretion, IGF‐1 regulation, and growth hormone–linked tissue remodeling in controlled experimental systems. Mechanistically, Sermorelin binds to GHRH receptors on somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary, stimulating synthesis and pulsatile release of endogenous GH. This makes Sermorelin a useful model for studying GH axis modulation without direct recombinant GH administration.
